The working principle of crawler mobile stacker and reclaimer is as follows:

1. Working principle of stacking

First, the crawler mobile stacker-reclaimer moves to the designated stacking area through the crawler travel mechanism. During the movement, the operator can flexibly control the travel direction and speed of the equipment according to the actual terrain and operation requirements.

After the equipment is in place, the material is transported to the feed port of the stacker-reclaimer through external conveying equipment (such as a belt conveyor). A guide device is usually provided at the feed port to ensure that the material can accurately enter the stacking system.

The materials entering the stacking system are transported by the stacking belt conveyor. The stacking belt conveyor is installed on the cantilever beam, and the cantilever beam can achieve pitching and slewing motion through the hydraulic system. By controlling the angle and slewing radius of the cantilever beam, the materials can be evenly stacked in different positions.

When the material is conveyed to the end of the stacking conveyor, the unloading device starts to work. The unloading device can be a simple chute or a discharger with a material distribution function, which unloads the material from the conveyor belt to form a pile of a certain shape and height in the yard. In order to ensure the uniformity and stability of the pile, some stackers and reclaimers will also be equipped with auxiliary devices, such as leveling scrapers or compacting devices, to further process the piled materials.

2. Working principle of material reclaiming

When retrieving materials, the stacker-reclaimer first moves to the vicinity of the material pile and aligns the retrieving mechanism with the material pile. The retrieving mechanism is usually of different types such as bucket wheel type or scraper type.

Taking the bucket wheel reclaiming mechanism as an example, the bucket wheel rotates driven by the driving device, and the bucket on the bucket wheel is inserted into the material pile. As the bucket wheel rotates, the bucket digs out the material and lifts it to a certain height.

When the bucket turns upward, the material falls onto the cantilever belt conveyor under the action of gravity. The cantilever belt conveyor transports the material to the discharge port of the equipment, and then the subsequent conveying equipment transports the material to the designated location.

The scraper type reclaiming mechanism scrapes the material on the surface of the pile through the circular motion of the scraper chain and conveys it to the cantilever belt conveyor. During the reclaiming process, the reclaiming mechanism can also cover materials at different positions and depths by controlling the movement of the cantilever beam, thus achieving efficient and comprehensive reclaiming operations.
